Parish Walk - Saturday 7th June

Seven walkers set out at 11.30am from the north side of the Blue Stack Mountains at Crolack Farm. Climbing from 170m to the highest point—Croagh Gorm—at 674m, we searched enroute (but in vain) for a plaque commemorating the seven airmen killed when a Sunderland Flying Boat crashed into the hillside in January 1944; five airmen survived that fateful day.
