Bishop of Jerusalem Visits Ardess

Ardess Parish was delighted to welcome The Right Reverend Suheil Dawani to address the Confirmation candidates on Whitsunday, 11th May 2008. The Rite of Confirmation was conducted by The Right Reverend Dr Michael Jackson, Bishop of Clogher. During the service the Bishop of Jerusalem presented each of the candidates with a small olivewood cross brought from the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Both bishops and the capacity congregation were invited to Ardess Parish Centre for a buffet lunch following the service.

St Patrick's Day Walk

A good day was had by all on the first walk of the New Year. The route was over Grousehall Hill with clear views to Lough Erne and Lough Derg, Mount Errigal and even to Donard in County Down. There were 15 people and 2 dogs on the walk and we covered approx 6 miles with good chat and fellowship. We now look forward to another good day on Easter Monday!
