Bishop of Jerusalem Visits Ardess
11 May 2008Ardess Parish was delighted to welcome The Right Reverend Suheil Dawani to address the Confirmation candidates on Whitsunday, 11th May 2008. The Rite of Confirmation was conducted by The Right Reverend Dr Michael Jackson, Bishop of Clogher. During the service the Bishop of Jerusalem presented each of the candidates with a small olivewood cross brought from the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Both bishops and the capacity congregation were invited to Ardess Parish Centre for a buffet lunch following the service.

Retiring Collection
4 March 2008Ardess December Retiring Collection raised £2700 to assist the following charities:
- Barnabas Fund – £1,000 to provide housing for Iraqi Christians living in Syria
- Olive Tree Fund – £1,000 assistance for persecuted Christians living in Gaza
- Wycliffe Bible Translators – £700 for work in Northern Ghana
